How do I sign up?

Will my child work with the same teacher every session?

Ideally your student will work with the same teacher on a routine basis. However, at Aspire Math Academy we feel student-teacher relationships play a key role in educational development. We will accommodate and work with you to fulfill any change of teacher requests.

 

What are the Payment Arrangements for Private Lessons?

We require parents to commit to private lessons for the whole term in advance. If there are weeks during the term that you know you will not require lessons, please let us know at the time of booking.

You will receive an invoice at the beginning of the term, to cover the lessons we have scheduled for your child.

If you pay the full amount on the invoice in one lump sum at the beginning of the term, you will receive a 5% discount on the total cost of private lessons.

Alternatively, you can pay for the lessons in monthly installments in advance over the course of the term, by arrangement.

Can I Reschedule or Cancel my Private Lesson?

Rescheduling and Cancellation of Private Lessons:

We do understand that plans change. To maintain a level of flexibility, you are able to cancel or reschedule up to two lessons per term.

We require 48 hours’ notice of any cancellations or requests to reschedule. We will carry forward a credit into the following term for lessons that have been cancelled (not rescheduled) 48 hours in advance.

Requests to Reschedule/Cancel:

Any requests to reschedule or cancel a private lesson must come through the learning centre office.  Tutors are not responsible for scheduling.  Parents must not attempt to make private rescheduling arrangements with tutors.

What are the Payment Arrangements for Group Lessons?

Group Lessons are payable in advance for the whole term.

Your child’s place on the course is not confirmed until payment is received in full; children may not attend lessons until payment has been received.

If signing up partway through a term, the fee will be prorated.

Can I Reschedule or Cancel my Group Lesson?

Refund Policy for Group Lessons:

We require notice in writing (email) if your child will no longer be attending group lessons.

If written notice of withdrawal is received less than 10 days before the start of a program, we will retain 20% of the total fees.

If written notice of withdrawal is received after the start of the program, we will retain 100% of the total fees.

We reserve the right not to run an advertised program of study if insufficient students sign up for the course.  If payment has already been made for a program that we subsequently decide not to run, we will provide a full refund immediately on notifying you of the decision.

Rescheduling of Group Lessons:

If your child is unable to attend a scheduled group lesson due to illness or other commitment, your child can catch up on the lesson by attending one of our Homework Centre Drop In sessions at no extra charge.

You will need to let us know in advance the day that your child will be attending the Homework Centre session, so that we can reserve a spot for your child.  Your child may make up a maximum of two group lessons per term in this way.  Requests to make up group lessons by attending Homework Centre must go through the learning centre office.

What is Aspire’s Educational Camp Policy?

Payment Arrangements for Camps:

Camp fees are payable in advance for the duration of the camp.

Your child’s place on the course is not confirmed until payment is received in full; children may not attend camp until payment has been received.

If signing up partway through a camp, payment will be prorated.

Refund Policy for Camps:

We require notice in writing (email) if your child will no longer be attending camp.

If written notice of withdrawal is received more than 14 days before the start of the camp, we will provide a full refund less $25 administration fee per child per camp.

If written notice of withdrawal is received less than 14 days before the start of the camp, full fees apply.

We reserve the right not to run an advertised program of study if insufficient students sign up for the course.  If payment has already been made for a program that we subsequently decide not to run, we will provide a full refund immediately on notifying you of the decision.

How Does Aspire Handle Inclement Weather?

In the event that we decide to close the centre due to severe weather, we will notify parents as soon as possible by email and our social media channels.  In such circumstances, we will make every reasonable effort to reschedule missed lessons.

Does Aspire Have Single Session Bookings?

Single session bookings are sometimes available and can be paid by the hour.  Please email info@aspirelearningacademy.com for more information.

What Happens in the Event of a Tutor Cancellation?

In rare cases, a tutor may have to cancel a scheduled session. We will do our best to reschedule the session to another convenient time for the student. If this is not possible, we will credit the session to your account. The student will also have free use of our Homework Centre support program as well as our individual study space for the duration of the cancelled session.
