Novel Study Camp

Help your student discover their love of reading

Our Novel Study Camps are designed to help students discover literary elements and discuss a novel in a small group setting. This camp will help students develop their skills with reading comprehension, critical thinking, and textual analysis—all while exploring new vocabulary, genres, characters, and literary worlds. Young learners will also practice time management and teamwork as they complete daily reading assignments and collaborate with their fellow lovers of literature! This camp is perfect for students looking to kindle their passion for reading while building and strengthening their writing and literacy skills to achieve success in their September studies.

Reading & Writing Galore

Students will use literacy to express themselves and explore the natural world

Each day this camp offers students a new theme to explore: from “All About Me” on Monday, “Spring Senses” on Tuesday, “Opinions Galore!” on Wednesday, “Silly Sequencing” on Thursday, and “Storytelling Skills” on Friday. Our experienced instructors will provide a supportive learning environment to guide students through a variety of hands-on learning activities such as self-portrait reflections, opinion formulation, appropriate writing techniques, grammar, reading comprehension, and story re-enactment.

Aspiring Young Writers

Experiment with short stories, poetry, research papers and more!

Calling all creative minds and lovers of literature! This camp will help young writers find their unique voice and express themselves through narrative, poetry, nonfiction, visual arts and even theatre. Students will tackle a unique writing challenge each day, with some imagination-boosting activities to improve their vocabulary, grammar, and sentence building skills! Students will explore contemporary styles and authors, collaborate with their classmates, and research new horizons to inspire their creative spirit and discover their inner writer.

Back to School Literature Skills

Prepare your child for the upcoming school year!

Our experienced instructors will provide a supportive learning environment to guide students through a reading and writing journey. Students will learn creative writing techniques and build a unique portfolio. We will explore prewriting and idea development with fiction and nonfiction themes. In addition to writing, each child will receive reading instruction focused to his or her needs. Students will definitely enjoy the interactive reading comprehension stories while improving all areas of reading and writing. A complete, take–home story will be developed by the end of the camp. This camp is a wonderful way to prepare your child for the upcoming school year!
